2011 AWARDS & PRIZE

At the end of Band Day preliminary competition, the following
awards will be presented:
- Plaques and $850 cash award to bands placing 17 -
25
- Plaques and $600 cash award to bands placing 26
- 30
- Plaques and $575 cash award to bands
placing 31 and below
- Captions awards in music, visual, general effect,
guard, and percussion to the top scoring small and
large bands in each caption
- Trophies to the 8 top scoring small bands
(60 or less playing members and school enrollment of 650 or less in grades 9
through 12)
- Plaques to the 3 top scoring small bands
(30 or less playing members and school enrollment of 500 or less in grades 9
through 12) ranking 18 and below - the Esprit de Corps awards
- Additional $200 in appearance money to
first time Band Day bands or to bands that have been absent from the
competition for the previous two years
At the end of finals competition, the following awards
will be presented:
- $200 in appearance money to the two
highest placing bands 17th and below who accept the invitation to appear in
exhibition prior to the start of the evening performance
- $200 in appearance money to the Esprit de Corps
champion performing in exhibition
- Trophies to the 16 finalists plus cash awards based
on finals placement:

TRAVEL ALLOWANCE
A travel allowance will be paid to each participating
school according to the following guidelines:
- Zone 1 - 1-49 miles (one way) - $80 per bus
- Zone 2 - 50-99 miles (one way) - $110 per bus
- Zone 3 - 100+ miles (one way) - $140 per bus
